This course is an introduction to the PTLLS course to give you some basic training on the subjects in the 2012 PTLLS programs. This course is not the full PTLLS Award and is aimed to help you through your course. You will need to register on a full PTLLS course which is available from us or our sister company ITG Instructor Training who offer the PTLLS Level 3 and 4 Train the Trainer Course at our Training Centre in Colchester Essex. It is also offered as a distance/blended course where you can complete this course and you will have access to a virtual learning environment to complete the rest of your study. You will then attend one day in the classroom. This course is also a useful tools if you are studying with any other Awarding Body.

The full PTLLS course satisfies the government requirement for teachers, trainers and tutors who need an initial award for their role as a teacher or trainer in the lifelong learning sector or those who want to teach in a Further Education College, Adult Learning Environment or be a trainer for a Learning Provider.

The course aim of this award is for those who are or want to be a teacher, tutor or trainer and need to be able to plan, prepare and provide learning for their specialist area.

All entrants need to have the personal and intellectual abilities to acquire the knowledge and understand the skills needed to gain this award. All entrants must be able to read effectively and communicate clearly and accurately in written and spoken standard English and have relevant qualifications within their own area of expertise.

Anyone of any age can take this course but for the full PTLLS Award the minimum age is 19 years old and completing our full PTLLS course can allow you to offer some of our classroom courses. When you complete the full PTLLS course it also allows learners to commence their professional development within the teaching profession.

This course comes with 4.0 hours of CPD, although the time to complete the course online may be less than this. Total course time includes 2 hours and 23 minutes of video training as well as knowledge reviews, final test, remedial help and reviewing downloaded material.

The content of this and all our courses has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement as well as a ProTrainings Certificate and for online courses an Evidence Based Learning statement.
