Safer Handling of Medicines

Safe Handling of Medicines is designed as an introduction to the care and administration of medicines. This course is delivered over 3 hours. The course aims are to provide a better understanding about safe medication administration, the safe storing, administration and disposal of medicines, and being able to recognise side effects caused by medication.
By the end of this session, candidates will understand the correct procedures for the administration, storing, and safe disposal of medication; be able to describe the process of reporting and recording all aspects of medication administration; be able to discuss what legislation relates to medicines in the workplace; and have a basic understanding of how medicines work.
The content of this and all our courses has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement as well as a ProTrainings Certificate and for online courses an Evidence Based Learning statement.
