  3. Click the blue link that says "Purchase units" towards the top middle of the page.
  4. Choose the course you want to buy by selecting the quantity required then adding to the cart by clicking the "add units to cart" button. The minimum number you can buy is 5 of any one course. You need to select a total of £175 of credits of any course you want. If you are not sure, then buy them all as EFAW or a mix. You can always change them at a later date by emailing us.
  5. Select other credits that you want.

How do I create a new class to appear on www.procourses.co.uk or for issuing certificates for a course I teach?

  1. Log in using your username and password at any of our online courses.
  2. Click the "Instructor Dashboard" at the right side of the black menu bar.
  3. Click the link in the middle top bar that says "Classroom centre".
  4. Click the logo that says "Create Classroom".
  5. Enter the start and finish dates of the course. If you are doing a one day course, these dates will be the same. The date you enter as the finish date will be the on the certificate, and the renewal date will be based on this date, not the start.
  6. Select from the drop down list what course you are running.
  7. Enter the start and finish time of the course. Make sure you allow for contact hours on some courses. If there is a set number of contact hours, this does not include breaks.
  8. Give the course a name. We suggest the type of course and the date. For example EFAW 28/11/10.
  9. If the course is a FAW or a FAW requalification, state the name of the assessor or assessors. The main approved ones are in the drop down list. Assessors must be linked with your centre and you must have their portfolio of evidence before the course. If you have to change an assessor, simply select another or advise us before the course.
  10. If the course is taught by you, then leave the instructor entry empty. If you had a different instructor teaching it, then select them from the drop down menu. Your company logo, contact number and name will still appear on the certificates, but it will show the name of the actual instructor.
  11. The "Make course publicly visible" box defaults on yes. This will mean the course is promoted on our directory and course finder where people can book online onto your course. If you are teaching an in-house course and you do not want it advertised on our site, uncheck the box.
  12. You can add details of the client if you are running an onsite course, but the certificate will be sent to YOU, not to the customer.
  13. Once everything is completed, save the course by clicking the "Create" button at the bottom. You can always edit it if you need to using the pencil icon.

How do I add students to a class and then request certificates?
  1. Log in using your username and password at any of our online sites.
  2. Click the "Instructor Dashboard" at the right side of the black menu bar.
  3. Click the link in the middle top bar that says "Classroom centre".
  4. Select the course that you want to add students to.
  5. Click "add student to class" logo.
  6. Add their first and surname. This is what will appear on the certificate, so make sure you spell it correctly. You can always change this by clicking the pencil next to their name.
  7. Enter the phone number if you have it.
  8. Create a username. This is usually their first and surname as all one word.
  9. Create a password. Usually 12345 until they log in and change it.
  10. Enter the email of the student. This is very important as they will not be able to download the manual or receive the weekly emails and reminders without an email. Do not just enter the same email for all students (such as the email of the person who booked the course) if you are teaching onsite, as the person will end up getting duplicate emails for everyone on a course. You can always add and amend details once you have full details after the course.
  11. Then click the "register students" button.
  12. Add extra students at any time.
  13. If a student books themselves on to the course, you do not need to add their details again. They will automatically appear on the course and the number of spaces left will be reduced accordingly.
